My name is Grace Rivera; I am a single mother born in Puerto Rico and raised in Brooklyn New York. I started with health and weights when my sons’ father said, “ Girl you’re getting kind-a-heavy and your butthole is starting to look square”. At this point I started to look in the mirror every day because of the complex I had. I kept sucking my gut in and still no hope. I said to myself, “Grace it’s time to take charge of your life”.

Danielle says “So now after five years of competitions I have moved up the ranks and I placed in the top five at several national level shows in 2006. My BIG goal for 2007 is to get my IFBB professional status in figure and then I would like to compete in the Figure Olympia in the same year. My short-term career goals include to headline my own NPC or IFBB show, opening and managing my own supplement store (with the help of my sponsors), and eventually I would like to have my own exercise with a dance studio inside and to !! I know that my dreams will come true very soon, I am thankful for the support of those who help me. I am also so grateful for the constant support from my sponsors, for believing in me and giving me the freedom to train and focus on my career goals, and allowing me the opportunity to be part of a great winning team.”

With more and more women weight training, Figure and workout competitions have exploded in the gym industry. The women that posses the stage present a flawless physique.

Tara says : “I was born and raised in Queens NY. I started working out about 10 years ago and I took to the gym l very well . I started seeing changes in my physique right away and it got me so excited that I just wanted to train harder and learn as much as I could on about gym. I became obsessed with fitness. My trainer and mentor encouraged me to get certified to be a personal trainer ( I was working unhappily in the garment district of NYC at the time). He who encouraged me to do my first workout competition. A decision that changed my life.”

The summer before I left for college, getting in better shape and going to the weights almost became an obsession. I started reading all the top workout and bodybuilding magazines and began to follow all the top professionals of the exercise. I even went to a Sport expedition and bodybuilding show with a few friends from the fit and met a lot of the pro bodybuilders and muscle girls. I got to speak with some of them at their booths, and even got to take tons of pictures with them, which to me at the age of 17 was a huge deal….heck, before that day, I only got to read articles about them in magazines. That was the day I realized this was something I wanted to do myself.

I was born in Eugene OR. May 26, 1977. I moved from Or. when I was 5. I have been in CA. ever since. I live now in Visalia, CA. I moved here 4 yrs. ago when I met my husband. Before that I grew up in a small town 15 min. away in Tulare, CA. I am about 45 min. away from Fresno, CA> Maybe your familiar with it.

I played soccer and softball in H.S. but I wasn’t that good. I was overweight and I really just wanted to be part of a team. But I had good energy so I think that’s why I made the team, but never really played. I got involved with workout and aerobic in 1996. After I graduated H.S. I lost about 50 pds/ I I topped the scale at 208 in H.S. I lost the weight on a fat free diet. I would only eat 10 grams of fat a day. I got really tall about 130 pds and I battled bulimia and anorexia also. They were all the demons that come along with trying create a body that I could never have. I have worked out since 1996 but nothing serious. Then in 1999 I met someone who suggested I do a figure/BB competition. And it’s history form there.

I presently live in Fountain Hills, AZ. a Cool Community surrounded by Mountains and golf courses, 20 minutes North East of Phoenix.

I am a Country Girl by every definition of the word.I was Born on 06/15/** (a mature woman never discloses her age) in Caribou Maine. Caribou is a small city in the Northern Most regions of Maine,often the coldest record breaking temperatures in the USA.

I was always very active as a child to say the least. Being a tom boy, I Played the Drums all through school and hung out with the guys most of the time. I preferred to play sports with the boys as well , the girls were just not in my league of natural athletic abilities. My Favored sports were Basketball, Baseball, and Track.

I’m currently a pharmacy student at Ball State University. I already have a bachelor degree in Dietetics. I have been lifting twelve years, competing for 8 years. During those years I competed in bodybuilding off and on for five years and figure for 3 years.
