Were you involved in sports or exercise prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training?
I was always involved in sports in school, basketball, volleyball, track, gymnastics, cheerleading. I was a serious tomboy as a young girl, I had three older brothers whom I played basketball with and rode dirt bikes with.

Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body?
At first I had planned on competing, but decided to focus on the modeling aspect more.

Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.)
I train at least 5 days a week, usually an hour of weights and 30 minutes cardio. I hit each body part at least once a week. and legs sometimes twice.

I’m Monica Martin, and I’m a professional bi-curious bodybuilder from South America. I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. However, I lived most of my early life in the city of Santos. Santos is located on the coast of Brazil, about 70 kilometers from Sao Paulo.

I began bodybuilding as a teenagers, and have been training ever since. I was the first bodybuilder from my country to classify as a professional bodybuilder.

I began competing after a few years of training, and won first place in all competitions which I entered, including:

Brazilian National Championship, South American Championship, and Ibero-American Championship

Hey everyone yesterday I spent the day at the pool and I got a great tan and had a thin relaxation day. It was sooo cute! I also did two 45 minute sessions of cardio one in the morning and one later at the end of the day. I did not lift exercise yesterday but today I am going to train chest and arms. I am also going to do two 45 sessions of cardio as well. But first i have to get this apartment in order…it is a complete mess.

So here I am sitting in bed I just finished eating an oatmeal pancake. They are really good I put 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 1/2 cup of eggbeaters a splash of cinnamon and a splash of vanilla extract and put in the magic bullet and then cook it on a skillet w/pam and yummy!

Wouldn’t you like to watch me do an entire arm routine? I can begin with the curling bar. We’ll start with two 20lb. plates on each end and look at those arms. Watch me from back. Look in the mirror. Put both your hands on my muscles arms and stroke those cannons. Watch me curl this weight right up to my chest. I’m only warming up. Give me two more ten-pound plates. Do you like the vascularity in my bulging biceps? Squeeze them while I flex and lift. Do you think the veins on my biceps are skinny? Would you like to lick them while I flex?

Various training methods are used by bodybuilders to get results, including training techniques like Positions of Flexion (POF), Static Contraction Training (SCT), High Intensity Training (HIT), Superslow Training, Hyper Contraction and Plyometrics.

As you are well aware proper training, cardio, and diet is crucial in being prepared in a bodybuilding line-up. Knowing how to properly implement each can give you that extra edge against the competition.

Many bodybuilders preparing for their bodybuilding contest do so haphazardly. They end up losing working out and holding fat. At the last minute they realize they are not in the condition they should be and they implement last minute “tricks” to try to come in harder.

I presently live in Fountain Hills, AZ. a Good looking Community surrounded by Mountains and golf courses, 20 minutes North East of Phoenix.

I am a Country Girl by every definition of the word.I was Born on 06/15/** (a mature woman never discloses her age) in Caribou Maine. Caribou is a small city in the Northern Most regions of Maine,often the coldest record breaking temperatures in the USA.

I was always very active as a child to say the least. Being a tom boy, I Played the Drums all through school and hung out with the guys most of the time. I preferred to play sports with the boys as well , the girls were just not in my league of natural athletic abilities. My Favored sports were Basketball, Baseball, and Track.
