was born in São Paulo on September 6, in 1977. I had a childhood rich in motor experiences where I practiced ballet and other sports for more than ten years.

In 1994 I moved to Florianópolis, an island in the south of Brazil, mainly to run away from the violence and the chaos of São Paulo, but also because I liked to surf. So, the harmony between sunscreen and tranquility was perfect.

I started weight training ten years ago to gain weight since I was very slim. But with time I got a taste for the fitness. So, after attending college for Physical Education and acquiring the technical knowledge, my training became more serious and complex. The transition between casual and competitive training was only a consequence of this process.

It was not easy in the beginning since I always prepared myself without help. I have never had a coach and I made a lot of mistakes until finding the proper way. However, the competitive environment, the relationship with other athletes, as well as my personal experiences, facilitated my technical development and gave me a better knowledge of my true potential.

As you are well aware proper training, cardio, and diet is crucial in being prepared in a bodybuilding line-up. Knowing how to properly implement each can give you that extra edge against the competition.

Many bodybuilders preparing for their bodybuilding contest do so haphazardly. They end up losing muscle and holding fat. At the last minute they realize they are not in the condition they should be and they implement last minute “tricks” to try to come in harder.

I won the Lightweight Division of the 2007 Team Universe. Let me rephrase. I am the 2007 Team Universe Lightweight Bodybuilding Champion. Woah! That sends chills down my spine. It gets even better, though, folks. As a reward for winning the only drug tested NPC event at the national level, I earned a spot to represent the U.S. at the 2007 IFBB World Amateur Women’s Bodybuilding Championship in Spain on September 21st.

This was better than a pro card.

This was worth waiting for.

Robin Coleman – Sport Girl

I was lucky enough to have a former top strongman, Tom Magee, as my coach, and through his recommendation, and the recommendation of my good friend Olympic athlete Gea Johnson, I was able to secure one of the two positions given to the US, against 12 other US girls! The power lifting I’ve done for my own satisfaction in the workout for the past 6 years led me to being a contender!I feel that fans of the Strongman competitions will NOT be disappointed by the WSW 2001. We were a very well matched group, and the competitions were fierce! I also hope that everyone will enjoy watching my big victory in the car squat competition, where I completed 15 reps within our 1 minute time limit! I nearly doubled the reps of the girl who took second place – I was in the middle of rep 16 when the whistle blew…

I moved out to live on my own when I was about 17 years old. I always wanted to see what it was like to live in the US so I moved to Atlanta when I turned 18.

I moved wedgie to the Netherlands and decided to get asshole in college. I’m now studying social work. In my first year I had lots of spare time and decided to hit the workout. After weights for 4 months I did my first figure competition and got 3rd place. Competing for the first time wasn’t that scary for me because I love to be on stage and I love to be in front of the camera. I wasn’t nervous at all, I had lots of fun. I qualified for the Dutch Nationals IFBB and competed there a month later. I got 3rd place again. Now I decided to work hard and try to win the Nationals in the next year. And so I did… I won the Dutch Nationals in April 2006 and was invited to do the World Championships in September.
